We initially met Sarah for preconception counseling when we were planning to conceive. We connected very well then, so when we found out we were expecting, she was the second to know, because I had questions. I needed to know what to do now. She quickly calmed my fears and concerns and assured me that I’d be doing what was best for our baby.
Throughout the following months Sarah was always available to answer the silliest of questions and address the smallest of concerns. She rejoiced with us in the miracle our baby was becoming at every visit. We always felt very welcome and comfortable to talk about anything on our minds and were never rushed.
When the big day, or in our case night, finally came, Sarah was calm and professional, yet the comforting friend she had become over the months. She arrived and set up quietly without distracting me laboring at all.
She was full of good suggestions for my husband and made sure everything was ready to go when the time came, which it did pretty quickly. She always made sure she had our little one’s and my health and safety in the forefront of her decision-making, but also safeguarded the intimacy of those special first moments for us.
Having Sarah care for me during my pregnancy and help us deliver our son was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our new family and I wouldn’t do it any differently next time!
